The Power of Words.

Updated: Jun 10

My work as a writer and poet focuses on using language to amplify shared, authentic experiences, bringing people together through words and phrases. Over the past two decades, I've noticed that my audience consists of individuals who long to be seen, heard, and valued. Whether at open mics, passing, or on big stages, I’ve realized that a good story or poem can encourage people to remove their masks, even if just for a moment, to truly connect.

As a writer, performer, and people curator, my practice involves creating spaces for building, healing, and connecting. I invite people to share space and simply be themselves, creating a tribe dedicated to personal and collective healing. When we feel safe enough to voice the changes we seek, we discover that solutions often lie within our frustrations, and that we really are the ones we've been waiting for.

By sharing matters of the heart, especially on complex and nuanced issues, trust is developed, and a commitment to community and bridging words into actions is formed. My approach is about treating people with respect and reminding them of their place in this life. I believe we are in a creative revolution, where everyone's a star in the sky. I use words to help people stand in their truth, advocate for their well-being, and connect with like-minded individuals to further the cause of liberation and joy.

Human complexity begins within, and often we hide those parts of ourselves. I hope my work encourages others to venture past the surface and focus on what truly matters. Some of my best pieces and performances have come from the saddest moments of my life. Once I embraced my own healing journey, I realized how vital my voice and existence are in this world. We all deserve to heal and trust, we will. You matter.
